This movie is outstanding in many ways! A lavish pre-condom production filmed by Hand in Hand founder Jack Deveau, with high production values including venues like a Manhattan luxury apartment, a ballet theater, a rehearsal studio, YMCA showers and pool, and a luxury summer retreat off New York City, with two real-life ballet dancers playing the leading dancer roles, and a gaggle of male and female ballet dancers in non-sexual roles, including well-cut and choreographed ballet rehearsals and a theater performance.
The sex is pre-condom, and contrasts between the tender and elegant lovemaking of the dancers and the raunchier scenes involving Joe and his trucker buddies, with oral sex dominating the field (though not completely).
However, like many movies from that era, emphasis is put on visuals and story, not on the sex. As one reviewer wrote: This is cinema first, gay porn second.
